I just got home from another amazing trip to Vermont. I love shooting in Vermont not only because of the gorgeous scenery but also because the small towns, inns and farms make me feel like I am in a different, more elegant time period. I always get dressed up for dinner when I am there even if we are just going to a small, casual tavern simply because the food and places are so amazing there and putting on a nice dress makes dinner feel like an important event. I wore this outfit on the last night of my vacation in Vermont. We ate at one of my favorite places, the Inn at Weston. I love this place not only because the food is fantastic but also because it is a classic, proper Vermont inn with green shutters, local artwork inside, greenhouses, beautiful gardens, and my personal favorite, an extremely talented and friendly pianist who plays while you eat dinner. Eating at the Inn at Weston feels like you are eating in the 1800s. I wore this dress mainly because it was very warm in Vermont that day and the dress is breezy and comfortable however I think the Vermont surroundings compliment the dress’s earthy pattern. I paired it with this long silver necklace to make it a bit fancier and my new brown buckle sandals. Look out for another new post this week featuring pictures of Vermont and all the fun things I did there!

Thanks for visiting Like Lillian!
