Shirt: Hazel (similar t-shirt here, similar tank here; both on sale!), Cardigan: American Vintage (similar here), Pants: Athleta (they are on sale and are available in 2 other colors), Boots: J.Crew (similar and less expensive here), Dove Necklace: Silpada (similar in gold here; similar in silver here), Pig Necklace: Poor Cat
I recently picked up this tank top on a sale rack at a local boutique. Although it is January and there is snow on the ground where I live I was determined to wear this tank top today. I loved the mixed textures of this shirt. The mesh shoulders, the knit upper portion, and the t-shirt lower portion and neckline give the look more complexity and more of a bohemian feel which isn’t always easy to do in the winter. I paired the tank with a knit cream cardigan so the shirt would stand out and so I would not be freezing in school. The cut of the shirt, longer in the front and back and shorter on the sides, was perfect for the pants I wore with them. These black currant (fancy for deep red) pants have panels on both the knees and the side of the hips which look almost like armor but are really meant for better mobility. The shirt showcased these panels nicely. I added brown leather boots to this look to keep the focus on the shirt but if it was warmer I think this outfit would have looked great with sneakers and the zipper at the bottom of the pants slightly unzipped.
