It’s a Dolce & Gabbana Christmas!

When I think of style and true fashion, I think of Italy and when anyone thinks of Italy and style, they immediately think of the iconic Italian house, Dolce and Gabbana. For today’s post, I am working with Farfetch to create some fun holiday looks using all Dolce and Gabbana pieces that can be found here on the Dolce and Gabbana Farfetch page. Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce have created a globally-renowned brand by staying true to their roots. Every piece that they design is somehow inspired by Italy and the classic, proper woman. In their Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear show there are plenty of pieces that truly speak to Italy. Literally, there are dresses that say, “I heart Italy,” “Italia Forever,” and “Italia is love.” A few other pieces have embroidered classic Italian beach scenes, complete with striped umbrellas and women with that gorgeous Italian tan. The brand also has certain silhouette staples that are quite flattering. Dolce and Gabbana has stuck to the timeless tea-length dress while making it extremely versatile by playing with textures and prints or by keeping it solid. I love how the designs can be both whimsical and sophisticated. I admire how the brand focuses on woman and mothers. Nothing was more adorable and powerful than seeing a glowing, pregnant model and babies walking (or being carried) down the Dolce and Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2015 runway in Milan.

This first look is perfect for any Christmas or holiday party. I kept this look classic with the Dolce and Gabbana trademark tea-length dress and coat while also adding a modern feel with a laser-cut sweater that can be layered over the dress. This option is perfect if you are going to an event right after work because you can just take off the sweater and let the dress stand on its own for a more formal evening look. I chose this small Sicily Tote because it adds a whimsical element to the outfit while tying it together by incorporating all of the colors featured in the look.

For New Year’s Eve it’s always important to look extra glamorous. This look is perfect for a New Year’s Eve party and will stand out among all of the sequins and sparkle that is common on New Year’s. I chose the Floral Jacquard Flared Dress because of its deep navy color and interesting texture that will stand out, especially when paired with the bright pink coat which will create contrast that will bring attention to both pieces. The shoes featured in this look are absolutely fabulous. They add a touch of sparkle to the look and are really the focal point of the outfit. I chose the Small Miss Sicily Shoulder Bag because it is simple and adorable without overwhelming the look.

I hope you all have a great holiday season and thank you to Farfetch for working with me on this post!
