It is extremely important to take care of your hair so it will have a healthy life and you won’t go bald. Healthy hair has more volume, shine and strength than neglected or unhealthy hair. Here are a few of my tips on how to maintain a healthy and beautiful head of hair:
1. Use a hair mask once a week. I have somewhat dehydrated hair, so I use a moisturizing mask every Friday, which replaces my conditioner for the day. I recommend buying a hair mask that targets your specific hair issues, whether your hair is dehydrated or damaged. Also, many hair masks tend to smell really good and leave your hair smelling nice all day long.
2. Don’t wash your hair every day. Washing your hair everyday wills trip it of its natural oils and will dry out your hair. Instead try washing it every other day and use a dry shampoo on the days that you don’t wash your hair.
3. A good detangler is a life saver. Instead of fighting with your hair after you get out of the shower, just spray a detangled into it and all of the knots will be less difficult to get out. You can buy one cheap from the drugstore, or you can mix some water a a scoop of your favorite hair mask into a spray bottle and shake it to make your own.
